Questions worth asking before moving day

Some answers here repeat what a surveyor would tell you in person. Reading them first just saves time on the day of the visit.

Is the on-site survey really free?

Yes. A surveyor visits the property, reviews the rooms, access and inventory, and provides a written quotation afterwards. There is no charge for the visit and no obligation to proceed with booking once you receive the quotation.

What does the transit insurance actually cover?

Transit insurance covers the load for the period it is in the vehicle, from loading at the origin address to unloading at the destination. The specific terms, limits and claims process are set out in the documentation provided during the survey, so they can be reviewed before the move is booked.

How long can items stay in short-term storage?

Storage duration is agreed case by case, depending on the gap between the move-out and move-in dates. It can be arranged for a few days or extended if the new address timeline changes, with the arrangement reviewed together as dates become clearer.

Which countries do you deliver to outside Poland?

Deliveries are arranged to countries that border Poland within the EU. Specific routes and timing are discussed during the survey or enquiry, since road conditions and border requirements can vary by destination.

Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture as standard?

Disassembly and reassembly of furniture such as wardrobes, bed frames and shelving is included where the survey identifies it as necessary, either to protect the item or to get it through doorways and stairwells safely.

What happens with especially fragile or valuable items?

Items such as mirrors, artwork, glass tabletops or electronics are flagged during the survey and given individual wrapping or custom crating rather than being packed alongside general boxes. Any specific handling instructions can be discussed at that stage.

Can a booked date be rescheduled?

Dates can be discussed and changed by agreement, particularly where a move-in date shifts due to circumstances outside your control. It helps to raise a change as early as possible so the schedule can be adjusted.

What isn't included in a standard moving quotation?

Items such as hazardous materials, perishable goods or certain restricted items typically fall outside standard transport terms. Any exclusions relevant to your inventory are identified and explained during the survey rather than assumed afterwards.

How is the final price determined?

The written quotation issued after the free survey reflects what was seen on the visit: inventory volume, access conditions, crew and vehicle requirements, and any additional services such as storage or specialty wrapping.
